So I had recently discovered that my copy of Adobe Elements has layer masks. Let me explain that sentence for the uninitiated. By Adobe Elements I mean too cheap to spring for Photoshop and by layer masks I mean an adjustable mask of effects that can be laid down over an image, which by that I mean coolest thing in the world ever.

Now, I have been working like mad of late, you know at the real job that pays me money, and have had very little time for art. However I had a few rainy days off, and decided to play around with some old photos I have.

This resulted in me bursting out of my office at top speed, and finding my hubby, whereupon I began to babble about layer masks. I drug him to my office, oblivious to whatever he was doing at the time, and HAD to show him how they work. After a while I realized that I was running out of air and crawled to a halt.

After taking a few deep breaths I realized he was looking at the screen politely, and he had no idea what I was talking about. I blurted out as he was leaving "Its the coolest thing since ninja pirates!"
